1925 (Age 0): Born in Ono City, Fukui Prefecture

1955 (Age 30): Worked in the design department of NHK's shadow play troupe, Kakashiza
1957 (Age 32): Contracted by Gakken Film Bureau's animation slide department
1959 (Age 34): Won the highest award at the Japan Slide Competition for Kokeshibokko
1965 (Age 40): Won the Minister of Education Award for Art (Art Director) for Gakken Animation Film The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse
1968 (Age 43): Won the Minister of Education Award for Art (Art Director) for Gakken Animation Film Princess Kaguya
1981 (Age 56): Illustrated Happō Nirami Neko by Hideko Takeda (Kodansha), won the Premio Europeo di Illustrazione (Elba Prize) at the Bologna International Children's Book Fair and the 4th Ehon Nippon Award
1983 (Age 58): Published Sato no Matsuri (Kodansha) by Kōzō Shimizu
1985 (Age 60): Illustrated Kaijin-tō by Masao Tsurumi (Kodansha)
