About Kutani Ware
Kutani ware is porcelain produced in Ishikawa Prefecture, characterized by its vibrant colors based on five colors (red, yellow, green, purple, and indigo blue) and bold painting. Pieces that extensively use gold, like this work, are also called Kinsai (gold decoration) or Kinrande (brocade pattern) and are considered highly gorgeous and of high artistic value.
Purchased at an antique shop after falling in love at first sight, it has been displayed as an objet d'art.
