Rare Work!! Not on DVD!! "Lipstick" Complete 4-Volume Set VHS Video

This is a complete 4-volume set of videotapes for the drama Lip stick starring Hiroshi Mikami and Ryoko Hirosue.

Although it's a popular work, it has never been released on DVD (perhaps due to problematic content?). It's a rare piece, so how about adding it to your collection while you have the chance?

Synopsis

Lip stick was broadcast on the Fuji TV network from April to June 1999. The setting is a juvenile detention center. Unlike a juvenile training school, a juvenile detention center is a place to determine whether a juvenile needs to be sent to a juvenile training school.

Screenwriter Shinji Nojima chose such a place as the setting for his work. Nojima is popular for his style of sharply addressing social issues, and the story unfolds with the problems faced by adolescents entering juvenile detention centers as its theme.

The theme song is Rebecca's Friends ~remixed edition~. The original Friends was a hit song in 1985 as the ending theme for the drama Half Potato na Ore-tachi.

Ariake (Hiroshi Mikami), a staff member at the juvenile detention center, becomes the 담당 (person in charge) of Aiko Hayakawa (Ryoko Hirosue), who has been admitted for assault. In the facility, which is bound by strict rules and where violent lynchings are rampant, Ai develops friendships with the girls in her room and confronts the harsh reality. Ariake touches Ai's emotional wounds and gradually becomes attracted to her. Meanwhile, the struggles of instructor Takao Kasai (Isssei Ishida), who tries to free Anna from the psychological chains of being forced into compensated dating by Makimura Hiroki (Yosuke Kubozuka), a charismatic figure with a Devil-like aura, who is held in the boys' wing, are also unfolding.
